The Joint Consumer Price Index of Lampung Province in May 2019 Increased by 0.76

May 2019, Lampung Joint CPI experienced an increase in index from 137.02 in April 2019 to 138.07 in May 2019, thus inflation was 0.76 percent.Based on the inflation calculation for the calendar year (point to point) in May 2019 inflation was 1.69 percent, while inflation year on year (yoy) in May 2019 against May 2018 was 3.06 percent.Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups experienced inflation, namely the foodstuffs group which experienced inflation of 1.91 percent; transport, communication and financial services group 1.41 percent; health group 0.36 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.33 percent; clothing group 0.18 percent; and housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group 0.13 percent. In contrast, the education, recreation and sports group experienced deflation (a decrease in the index by 0.26 percent).
