Developement of Consumer Price Index September 2018

September 2018, the Lampung Joint CPI experienced a decline in the index from 135.22 in August 2018 to 134.95 in September 2018, thus a deflation of 0.20 percent.Based on the September 2018 calendar year (point to point) inflation calculation of 2.10 percent and September 2018 year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.87 percent.Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely the health group experienced inflation of 1.24 percent; group of processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.93 percent; education, recreation and sports group by 0.79 percent; clothing group by 0.23 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel groups experienced inflation of 0.05 percent. In contrast, foodstuffs experienced deflation (down by 2.02 percent). While the transport, communication and financial services group did not experience changes in inflation or deflation.Of the two monitoring cities in Lampung in September 2018, all experienced deflation. Bandar Lampung deflation was 0.20 percent, and Metro inflation was 0.19 percent.
