Development of The Lampung Composite Consumer Price Index in September 2019

September 2019, Lampung Combined CPI experienced a decline in the index from 140.07 in August 2019 to 139.79 in September 2019, thereby deflationing by 0.20 percent.Based on the calculation of calendar year inflation (point to point) September 2019 experienced inflation of 2.95 percent, while inflation year-on-year (yoy) September 2019 against September 2018 was 3.59 percent.Of the seven expenditure groups, only the foodstuff category experienced deflation, which was 2.82 percent. Conversely, six groups experienced inflation, namely the education, recreation and sports group which experienced inflation of 5.23 percent; clothing group 0.49 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group 0.21 percent; health group 0.20 percent; transport, communication and financial services 0.10 percent; and the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.09 percent.Of the two monitoring cities in Lampung in September 2019, all experienced deflation. Bandar Lampung deflation was 0.18 percent, and Metro deflation was 0.31 percent.
