November 2019, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.06 percent due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 139.17 in October 2019 to 139.26 in November 2019. Of the seven expenditure groups in Bandar Lampung City, five groups, namely the foodstuffs group experienced inflation (an increase in the index) by 0.07 percent; processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.20 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.07 percent; clothing group 0.07 percent; and the transportation, communication and financial services group 0.02 percent. In contrast, two groups experienced deflation or decreased indexes, namely the health group by 0.01 percent; and education, recreation and sports 0.10 percent.
The contribution of the general expenditure group in the formation of inflation in November 2019 was 0.06 percent. Four expenditure groups namely, the foodstuffs group contributed to the formation of inflation by 0.01 percent; processed foods, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco group gave 0.03 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.02 percent; the 0.01 percent clothing group. In contrast, the education, recreation and sports group contributed to deflation of 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the health group and the transportation, communication and financial services group did not contribute to the formation of inflation or deflation.
The dominant commodities contributing to the formation of inflation in November 2019 include: shallots 0.15 percent; purebred chicken eggs 0.03 percent; vegetable tomatoes 0.03 percent; rice 0.03 percent; cung kediro 0.02 percent; clove cigarettes 0.02 percent; household servant wages 0.02 percent; wet shrimp 0.02 percent; raw tofu 0.01 percent; and 0.01 percent ground coffee.
