Poverty Profile of Lampung Province March 2019

In March 2019, the number of poor people (population with per capita expenditure per month below the Poverty Line) in Lampung reached 1.06 million people (12.62 percent), a decrease of 27.9 thousand people compared to the conditions in September 2018 which amounted to 1.09 million people (13.01 percent).The percentage of poor people in urban areas in September 2018 of 9.06 percent fell to 8.92 percent in March 2019. While the percentage of poor people in rural areas in September 2018 was 14.73 percent, down to 14.27 percent in March 2019.During the period September 2018 - March 2019, the number of poor people in urban areas rose by 1.66 thousand people (from 230.20 thousand people in September 2018 to 231.86 thousand people in March 2019), while in rural areas dropped by 29, 6 thousand people (from 861.40 thousand people in September 2018 to 831.80 thousand people in March 2019).
