Poverty in Lampung Province September 2018

In September 2018, the number of poor people (population with per capita expenditure per month below the Poverty Line) in Lampung reached 1,091.60 thousand people (13.01 percent), a decrease of 5.45 thousand people compared to the March 2018 condition which was 1,097, 05 thousand people (13.14 percent).The percentage of poor people in urban areas in March 2018 was 9.27 percent, down to 9.06 percent in September 2018. While the percentage of poor people in rural areas in March 2018 was 14.76 percent, down to 14.73 percent in September 2018.The role of food commodities on the poverty line is far greater than the role of non-food commodities (housing, clothing, education, and health). The contribution of the food poverty line to the poverty line in September 2018 was recorded at 74.88 percent. This condition is the same as in March 2018.
