Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) is held three times in 10 years. Based on the 2018 Podes results, in Lampung Province there were 2,654 administrative administrative areas at the village level, consisting of 2,446 villages, 205 urban villages, and 3 UPT / SPT. The 2018 Podes also notes that Lampung Province consists of 228 sub-districts and 15 regencies / cities.
The Village Development Index (IPD) shows the level of village development with a status of being left behind, developing, and independent. The results of the categorization of IPD produced underdeveloped villages as many as 73 villages (2.98 percent), developing villages as many as 2,219 villages (90.72 percent), and independent villages with 154 villages (7.43 percent).
The Village Development Index is arranged based on five dimensions, namely basic service dimensions, infrastructure condition dimensions, transportation dimensions, general service dimensions, and village government administration dimensions. In 2018, all dimensions of the compilation of IPD increased compared to 2014. The dimensions with the highest increase were the administration of village government, which amounted to 9.94 points. While the dimension with the smallest increase is basic service, which is equal to 2.17 points.
